This is not specifically about 'A Forest'. It is just that I walked into a favourite bookshop in Chipping Norton and was faced by Drawn to Drawing by John Vernon Lord, which I had to buy. John is fondly remembered from days in Ditchling, mostly in The Sandrock, and for his benevolence and erudition. If you read this John, it is Jackie Bradley here, one time spouse of Denis.
